Annabel Astor originally came up with the idea for OKA in 1999, after struggling to decorate her holiday home in Florida. Having run a successful jewelry business, Annabel embarked on a luxury interiors journey with her sister-in-law Sue Jones, and friend Lucinda Waterhouse. Sue had already enjoyed a career in fashion design with Jasper Conran whilst Lucinda had created and sold unique arrangements of beautiful faux flowers. Each of them has a different style, skillset, and experience, but this combination is integral to creating the signature OKA look.
